What we do and what we believe in.
Since 2007 OOK Zippers has been supplying high quality metal zippers to a wide range of international clients. Great effort has been put in research and development of which the core focus being non-oxidating, nickel free products which are in line with European standards and Japanese Keiki requirements. The company also offers a high level of customization to customers which includes specific color requests, unique pullers and laser personalization. The production facility is situated in Dongguan P.R.C. conveniently located near the OOK Zippers Hong Kong head office.
Production capacity is growing rapidly but organically without overlooking any of the aspects that could penalize quality on mass scale production. The company is committed to give the best possible experience to the end user and by doing so create a real value added accessory that is much appreciated by it's partners and clients.

The key to a smooth and high performance zipper lies in the assembling process. OOK skillfully handcrafts this process to ensure every inch of the zipper will perform at its best. We mastered the art of details and combine it with technology, industry and workmanship.

Striking needle production process

Zipper molding process
The striking needle is an essential tool for zipper manufacturing. The entire manufacturing process is rigorously controlled. Handle, body and point are engineered and constantly checked. A standard striking needle is obtained by a process of continuous inspection feedback and correction.
A central part of this process relies on the CNC machine input. Data and graphic inputs are carefully loaded onto our CNC machines digital display screens. Our technicians select the correct tools and CAM specs. The copper mold is carefully clamped onto the CNC machine-tooling table where step grinding is performed. Projector quality inspection after tooling assures that piece will couple perfectly with a standard needle.
CNC line tooling, coarse and fine grinding are checked constantly with our state of the art projector control system which allows us to detect any inconsistencies and make immediate rectifications. EDM process and tooling are done to specific angles and each stage of the process is checked and eventually corrected by a second projector inspection. The zipper mold process is complete only once this final test is passed and the data from the projector inspection is fully analyzed.

Q: Which international standards OOK complied with?A: Our SEDEX certification is processing, in the meantime the renewal of restricted substances control (Oeko-tex Standard 100 certificate) also under application. We will update the information once on board.

Q: Which standard of physical properties and durability OOK products achieve?A: We implement EN 16732:2015 Slider Fasteners Zips Specification for test method and establish our internal standards which are achieving the highest requirements for various applications. For other colourfastness and durability requirements, we implement AATCC, ISO and some customer specific methods. Please contact our representative for details or repors.

Q: Any protection action of OOK metal zippers taken for preventing the corrosion attacks from the residues remained on leather?A: OOK use the high quality materials for producing the metal components and apply the all-round lacquering technology to provide the strengthened resistance of corrosion.
